All errorsPromotional text in title

Why SALE, FREE SHIPPING and % OFF get your products disapproved

What the error means

Google prohibits promotional wording in the title attribute. Titles containing SALE, FREE SHIPPING, best price, buy now, a percentage off, or repeated exclamation marks are disapproved.

Why Google rejects it

Titles are meant to identify the product, not advertise the offer. Promotional text also goes stale, so Google treats it as unreliable.

How to fix it

  1. Strip promotional wording from the title and put the offer in a promotion or a sale price instead.
  2. Keep the title to brand, product, and the attributes that identify it — colour, size, material.
  3. Remove repeated exclamation marks and shouting capitals, which are separately prohibited.
