How does your page look in Google?

Google cuts titles and descriptions by pixel width, not character count. Paste a page and see the exact snippet, what gets truncated, and how to shorten it.

Fetches the page from outside your network and reads its title, description and canonical. Nothing is stored.

How this works

The tool fetches the page server-side (a browser cannot, cross-origin), reads the title and meta description, then measures them in the browser with the same font Google uses for results. Titles are cut at about 580 pixels and descriptions at about 920 on desktop — so a title can be under 60 characters and still be truncated.

Questions

Why pixels and not characters?
Google truncates on rendered width, not length. A 58-character title of narrow letters fits; a 52-character title of wide letters is cut. Measuring in pixels is the only way to be sure.
What are the limits?
Roughly 580 pixels for the title and 920 for the description on desktop, less on mobile. This tool measures against both so you can see the safe length.
Does it change the page?
No. It fetches the page from outside your network, reads the title, description and canonical, and shows how a search engine would cut them. Nothing is stored.
