100, minus 5 for each must-fix finding (capped at 80) and 1.5 for each worth-fixing finding (capped at 20), never below 0 or above 100. The caps stop one noisy category swamping the other; a store with nothing wrong scores 100.

What is the badge for?

It is an image you put on your own site showing your score. It is a plain SVG served from here, so it stays current when you rescan: nothing to host.

Is the score an official Google score?

No, and nothing here claims to be. It is our own summary of the checks in our audit, and the badge says so. Your Merchant Center diagnostics remain the authority on disapprovals.
